Virtual Therapy Services

Our Speech-Language Pathology and Occupational therapy services are now available virtually, to those all over Ontario!

What is telepractice?

Telepractice refers to the application of telecommunications technology to the delivery of speech language pathology professional services at a distance by linking clinician to client for assessment, intervention, and/or consultation (American Speech-Language Hearing Association). Our SLPs are using a secure videoconferencing platform to deliver effective, highly engaging therapy. In fact, once you've tried telepractice, you might never look back!

Who can we treat using telepractice?

Research shows that telepractice can be used to treat individuals with a wide range of communication challenges across the lifespan, including the following:

  • Language delays and disorders

  • Speech delays and disorders including apraxia, articulation/phonology and motor speech disorders

  • Communication disorders related to autism, developmental delays, and learning disabilities

  • Acquired injuries such as stroke, head injuries, cognitive disorders, hearing impairment and neurological diseases

  • Pre-literacy and literacy skills including phonological awareness, decoding, reading comprehension and writing

  • Voice and resonance disorders
