We are thrilled to announce that Vanessa, a fabulous bilingual speech-language pathologist, has joined the team at Aurora Speech Clinic!

Vanessa obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and French from the University of Toronto before completing the Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) Program at Durham College. She worked in private practice before obtaining her Master of Health Science in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Ottawa.

Vanessa has experience evaluating and facilitating the development of speech sounds in children with motor speech difficulties and cleft lip and palate; receptive and expressive language; literacy in English and French; feeding and swallowing in children and adults; cognitive communication; and augmentative and alternative communication. Her continuing education pursuits include the Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol, Introduction to PECS, and Best Practice in the Identification, Assessment and Treatment of Oropharyngeal Dysphagia.

Vanessa is fluent in both French and Italian and is pleased to offer assessment and treatment in French and English. She is a registered member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO), the Ontario Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (OSLA), and Speech and Audiology Canada (SAC).
