Aurora Speech Clinic is a boutique speech therapy clinic providing assessment and therapy for children, adolescents, and adults in all areas of communication and swallowing, including the following:

Speech delays and disorders including apraxia, dysarthria, developmental articulation/phonology and motor speech disorders

Communication disorders related to autism, developmental delays, and learning disabilities

Acquired injuries such as stroke, head injuries, cognitive disorders, hearing impairment and neurological diseases

Pre-literacy and literacy skills including phonological awareness, decoding, reading comprehension and writing

At Aurora Speech Clinic, we value a family-centred interdisciplinary approach to treatment. We offer Occupational Therapy services as a complement to our SLP services or as a standalone treatment. Our Occupational Therapist can assess, treat, and consult with clients about the following:

Fine motor skills (i.e. handwriting, pencil grasp, cutting)

Gross motor skills (i.e. ball skills, balance, coordinating movement)

Daily living skills (i.e. dressing, toileting, self-feeding)

Feeding (i.e. limited food preference or picky eater)

Sensory processing (i.e. avoids or seeks certain textures or movements)

Self-regulation (i.e. attention, impulsivity, emotional regulation)

We offer services in English and French, in a clinic setting. Home, daycare, or school-based services are also available within York Region. We offer competitive rates; our services are covered by most extended health insurance plans and are also tax deductible.
